How it works
We use Naegele's rule: 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of your last period, or 266 days (38 weeks) from conception.
Accuracy
Only about 5% of babies arrive on their due date. Most are born within two weeks either side of the estimate.
Ultrasound confirmation
Your care provider will confirm your date with a scan — the most accurate method, especially early in pregnancy.
